Konstancin Jeziorna – Residential submissions of Warsaw

The friendly neighborhood of green areas, surrounding lakes and forests guarantees a carefree childhood, which is becoming more and more difficult nowadays.

Thanks to this, we gain much more space to organize our own dream garden, swimming pool or even a tennis court. These are real dreams for those who decide to live outside the capital city. Konstancin Jeziorna, is the only city in the Masovian Voivodeship with the status of a health resort, is one of the most-chosen destinations by the inhabitants of Warsaw.

At the Jeziorka river flowing in the area, an English park was organized, that is, today’s Zdrojowy Park. hr. Witold Skórzewski. In 1962, deposits of hot brine springs – gradients were discovered in Konstancin. In the Spa Park there is an inhalatory building – an inhaler spraying brine extracted from a depth of 1750 m, the entire building was made of blackthorn twigs. The climate around the inhaler resembles the seaside and has a therapeutic character, it has a very good effect on the respiratory system, which is an additional advantage of this area.

If you want to get to know the charms of Konstancin Jeziorna better, it is worth taking a short walk through the streets of this town. We start in the Spa Park, so let’s enter Mostowa Street, which is an extension of the main park alley and stretches along the Jeziorka shore, all the way to Skolimów. At Mostowa Street, right behind the park, there is the Hugonówka villa, currently the Konstancin House of Culture. It was established in the years 1902-1903 by order of Hugo Seydl, a Warsaw vintner, judge of the Commercial Tribunal and honorary consul of the Kingdom of Serbia in Poland. Konstancin-Jeziorna can be safely called a villa’s paradise. It is difficult to mark out one legitimate route that should be followed in order to admire the preserved pre-war architecture. The unusual architecture and beautiful residence are visible almost everywhere, with the greatest concentration in the vicinity of the Spa Park, i.e. the central part of Konstancin. However, not all of them are visible, some are hidden in old trees, others behind high fences.

One of the most famous villas, but not the most representative ones, is the Świt villa at ul. Żeromskiego 4, where Stefan Żeromski lived. There is a small museum in the villa. At Piotra Skargi Street there are breathtaking residences, among others The Manor House in Las is building number 18, the property was given to his wife by the king of chocolate Jan Wedel in 1971. Another is the Ustronie villa at number 7, owned by the king of the Polish brewery, Kazimierz Schiele. The residence has been rebuilt and now looks more like a Gothic castle, stripped of its original Art Nouveau charm.

If we want to see splendor in its purest form, Willa Słoneczna at ul. Piłsudskiego 31, the corner of Batory. Built in 1908. the villa, frequently changing owners, belonged to the embassy of the USSR after the war, thanks to which it has survived in an excellent condition. On the neighboring property at 15 Batorego Street we can admire the Kaprys villa, opposite the Wodnik villa at number 10. Further at ul. Batorego 31/33 there is an eclectic villa Wanda, walking further at Piasta 32 we can admire Pallas Athenae, a huge, well-preserved neo-classicist villa. Many other architectural gems can be found on Sobieskiego, Jagiellońska, Matejki and Sienkiewicza streets.

Konstancin Jeziorna undoubtedly has many advantages as a friendly place to live. For many years, it has been attracting newer and newer residents, one would like to say loved by all generations. It is located near the capital city, only 30 minutes away, surrounded by a beautiful forest, with a microclimate and a nourishing Park.
